But spin took hold on a slow pitch and Sean Williams' three wickets slowed UAE down considerably•ICC

Brendan Taylor sought to hit the team out of trouble and fell for 15 off 7 balls•ICC

Swapnil Patel was an able partner as the duo added 58 for the third wicket•ICC

Kamran Shazad struck a few late blows as his 21 off 15 balls took the score to 116•ICC

Two further wickets put Zimbabwe at 34 for 4 but Elton Chigumbura's 53 off 21 ensured Zimbabwe won the match and lifted their net run-rate above that of Ireland•ICC

Zimbabwe had to achieve their target in 15.4 overs to keep their chances of going through to the next round alive, but that pressure gave way to rash shots. Manjula Guruge benefited with two wickets•ICC
